In this article, I’m going to be talking about organizing digital files. It turns out, this problem is harder than it seems. Eventually, we need some system for organizing it into sensible categories. Regardless of type, data tends to build up. We all have data that we need to store, and then find. Httm does lots of other cool things too, a few of which I hope I will have time to touch upon, but let’s consider The Case of The Infamous Fat Fingered Sysadmin first. Using httm helps me find my lost files much more quickly, whichmakes the associated I’m a moron feeling pass more quickly as well. Whenever this happens to me-and it does happen to me-I remember that I wrote a little tool called httm. ![]()
